Summer Camps
Every summer Kids Konnected holds its annual West Coast Junior and Teen Camps. Our camps are for children who have a parent with cancer or who have lost a parent to cancer. All children at our camps are well supervised by our professional staff and trained volunteers. Kids Konnected camps provide an atmosphere that encourages children to have fun, smile and be a kid! We also provide an environment that allows kids to share their feelings with other peers and adults who understand what they are dealing with.
2008 Junior Camp (ages 7-13) Big Bear, California June 27, 2008 - June 30, 2008
Come with us to experience hiking, horseback riding, archery, rock-wall climbing, swimming, canoeing, crafts, and tons of other fun stuff. We invite any child affected by a parent’s cancer to come to KK camp to meet new friends and have fun.
2008 Teen Camp (ages 14-18) July 16, 2008 - July 18, 2008
Hey teens! Come join Kids Konnected for a river rafting adventure. We'll have 2 days of rafting on the South Fork of the American River in Northern California.
Camping will take place at a private river front where teens can enjoy a grass lawn, a recreation area with a sand volleyball court, horseshoes, ping pong, foosball and darts. All meals are included and after dinner there is an entertaining slide and video show where you can see yourself rafting the biggest rapids of the day. Before winding down for the night, teens get to participate in therapeutic activities.
Please check our back in mid March for registration forms and more details.
