Executive Director:
Dave Peters II
Mr. Peters has vast experience in the non-profit community, helping disadvantaged children for almost 20 years. As a former Hollywood agent for the stars, Mr. Peters began helping by producing a television special focusing on raising funds for powdered milk and medical supplies for the kids in the slums outside of Guatemala City in 1988. Mr. Peters coordinated medical relief programs to refugee camps in Croatia during the Bosnian Conflict in 1992. Mr. Peters implemented and personally delivered medical supplies, food and clothing to Russian orphanages in 1993 and 1994. Mr. Peters also facilitated international adoptions for over 100 orphans and special needs children from Romania, Hungary, Russia and Albania. Mr. Peter’s broad range of experience includes 6 years as Fund Development Director of Special Events for Olive Crest Abused Children’s Foundation, Santa Ana, California and 3 years as the International Director for Adoptions Unlimited, Inc. Chino, California, a licensed adoption agency.

Lynnette Wilhardt LCSW MSW
Masters in Social Work from USC, LCSW in the state of California, I have been in private practice for 15 years specializing in the psychosocial issues of oncology patients. I established many of the programs for Kids Konnected and have assisted in their growth over the past 10 years. I have published in several magazines and spoken at various conferences on the psychosocial issues of oncology in particular the effects on the children of oncology patients.
Director of Development
Valene Corcoran
Valene has over 20 years experience in fundraising and community development, working with the following organizations before coming to Kids Konnected: Capistrano Unified School District Foundation, Orange County United Way, Olive Crest Abused Children’s Foundation and Easter Seals Southern California. Valene manages and implements all aspects of the organizations fundraising programs. She is an expert on a range of membership, fundraising and development activities, including expansion of low-donor membership, direct mail campaigns and database management.

Jennifer (Justine) Palacios
Justine has worked for Kids Konnected since 2005. She has a B.A. in Psychology and Social Behavior from University of California, Irvine. Justine knows first hand what it’s like when cancer affects a family. Her mother is an ovarian cancer survivor and her grandmother died of ovarian cancer at the age of 49. She also lost an aunt and two grandfathers to cancer. Justine works part-time for Kids Konnected, but is 100% dedicated to its cause.

Kids Konnected is funded by the generous donations of individuals, corporations and foundations. Kids Konnected does not receive any local, state, or federal funding. Financials are conducted annually and audits semi-annually by AFG, LLP of Costa Mesa, California.
